STSS offers various options to price your project.
In order to determine the cost of the project, a specification document will be created that defines what needs to be done, how it can be verified and tested. We will then guarantee the project price to that specification. If during the project customer decides to make changes, this specification will be updated and appropriate surcharges will apply.
This is simplest case a developer that matches your requirement is working for you on hourly, daily, or monthly basis. We can provide all required equipment and administrative services, or the developer can work onsite. Customers are billed weekly or monthly.
In many cases customer does not have expertise or time to develop User Requirements and only have a general outline of what he or she wants to achieve. In this case it is almost impossible to define the scope of work and thus we can't put a price on a project. One solution is to hire STSS to write the User Requirements for you. Our Project Manager will interview key employees in your business and prepare the document on a time and material basis.
After this document is prepared and we (STSS and Customer) really understand what needs to be done, a fixed cost can be determined for the implementation phase.
Phased approach is a way to break a large project that is too expensive and/or too long into series of smaller projects or phases. Each of these phases should be useful by itself and make your business more productive and efficient. It is important to set correct goals for the whole project so that of the each phase improves and extends functionality built in the prior phase.
